Ons streef daarna om Laerskool Outeniqua uit te bou tot die skool van uitnemendheid in die Suid-Kaap waar elke leerder die geleentheid sal kry om maksimaal te ontwikkel in ‘n veilige, geborge en stimulerende skoolomgewing.
Die ontginning van die hoogste moontlike akademiese prestasie van elke individuele leerder volgens Laerskool Outeniqua se leermodel.

Ons verseker elke leerder van ‘n veilige en gelukkige omgewing, deur die daarstelling van ‘n gedragskode, ‘n veildigheidsplan wat gereeld hersien en ge-oefen word en ‘n vigsbeleid wat in lyn is met dit wat deur die Onderwysdepartement vereis word.
Ons betrek leerders by die gemeenskap deur op ‘n gereelde basis persone van die gemeenskap in te kry om met hulle te gesels oor minder bevoorregte groepe in die gemeenskap. Leerders word direk hierby betrek by die insameling van byvoorbeeld klere, skoene en geskenkies vir hawelose kinders tydens die Kersgety.
We want each child to develop his or her full potential, and therefore we give more than ample opportunities for learners to develop their entrepreneurial, academic, cultural and social skills. We also provide excellent remedial help and didactic aid within the school. Apart from remedial work done by the class teacher, we also have a full time remedial teacher appointed by the Educational Department.
We encourage teacher/ parent/ learner communication. Parents are always welcome at the school. We also have four formal occasions where parents can attend parent evenings to discuss the progress of their children with the class teacher.
Tot 1921 was die primêre skool ingesluit by twee hoërskole, die Meisie- en Jongenskool. Met die amalgamasie van die hoërskole het die Laer Meisieskool as aparte skool voortgegaan.
In 1923 het die Hoërskool Outeniqua ontstaan en toe die nuwe perseel betrek is, het die George Jongenskool ook as ‘n aparte skool begin funksioneer.
Dit word later die Laerskool Manie le Roux wat in 1971 met die George Meisieskool amalgameer.

Azure=blue; Or=yellow or gold; Argent=silver or yellow.
Open book: Argent and Azure. Symbolism: Points to the teaching of skills, setting of norm and exposure to knowledge.
Three circles intertwined: Or on Azure. Symbolism: Suggests the three disciplines on which Christian National Education is founded: Home, School and Church. The intertwining suggests the ideal of unity between these disciplines.
